Janet Wright, a talented individual born in 1945 in England, spent her formative years in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Growing up in a family of theatre actors, she was surrounded by the performing arts from a young age. Her siblings, Anne Wright, John Wright, and Susan Wright, all shared a passion for the stage, and Janet would later have the opportunity to work alongside her sisters Susan and Anne in the theatre play "Les Belles Soeurs".
In addition to her work in television and cinema, Janet has had a successful career in theatre, appearing in numerous productions such as "Memoir", "The Club", "Miss Margarida's Way", "Hedda Gabler", "The Seahorse", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", "A Lie of the Mind", "Not Wanted on the Voyage", "Uncle Vanya", "Shirley Valentine", "King John", "In the Ring", "Hamlet", "The Bacchae", "Glengarry Glen Ross", "Mabel Leaves Forever", "Fool For Love", "Dancing at Lughnasa", and "Wrong for Each Other", among many others.
In her personal life, Janet was married to Brian Richmond and had a son, Jacob Richmond, who is a playwright, and a daughter, Celine Richmond. She later married Bruce Davis. Tragedy struck on December 29, 1991, when her 44-year-old sister Susan, along with their parents, Jack and Ruth, lost their lives in a devastating house fire.
