Biography

Jamie Harrold was born and raised in the quaint town of Taylorville, Illinois, a place that would later influence his artistic endeavors. His father, a seasoned cross-country truck driver, had followed in the footsteps of his own father, who had also traversed the country behind the wheel. On his mother's side, Harrold came from a long line of coal miners, a heritage that would one day see his oldest brother take up the family trade.

Harrold's academic pursuits took him to The Academy, Chicago's esteemed High School for the Arts, where he honed his craft and laid the groundwork for his future success. He would later go on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

The stage and screen have been kind to Harrold, who has co-starred alongside the likes of David Rakoff in the award-winning short film The New Tenants (2009). This critically acclaimed film would go on to win the Best Live Action Short award at the prestigious Academy Awards in 2010.

Harrold's impressive filmography includes a wide range of roles in movies such as Tell Tale (2009),The Last Winter (2006),Flannel Pajamas (2006),The Sum of All Fears (2002),The Score (2001),Swimming (2000),Erin Brockovich (2000),I Shot Andy Warhol (1996),To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995),and Natural Born Killers (1994).

In addition to his film work, Harrold has also made a name for himself in the world of television. He has co-starred in television movies such as Kingdom Hospital (2004),Glimpse of Hell, A (2001),Family Pictures (1993),and Darrow (1991),opposite the talented Kevin Spacey.

Harrold's television credits also include a number of guest appearances on popular shows such as Law & Order (1990),New Amsterdam (2008),Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001),and Cracker: Mind Over Matter (1997).

Today, Harrold resides in both Smallwood, New York, and New York City, where he continues to work on a wide range of creative projects.
