Jami Tennille Cornell was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to Cheryl Cornell Franklin, a dedicated teacher, and Allen Fuller Cornell, a skilled photographer, of Irish and English ancestry.
From a young age, Jami's passion for performing was evident in her participation in dance recitals and the school's drama club, showcasing her versatility as an actor. She has portrayed a wide range of characters, including the complex and troubled Amish mother in The Lost Within and the loving and down-to-earth friend in the Academy Award-winning film Manchester By The Sea.
In 2015, Jami ventured into screenwriting and directing, garnering recognition for her work on the award-winning Girls Who Fly, the thriller Mosaic, and the female-driven horror film The Symbol.
As the founder of ActorPlaybook, Jami aims to empower new and aspiring actors with workshops and resources designed to propel their careers forward.
