Jamey Geston was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and made the move to California in the summer of 2005. She has been in front of a camera since she was just two and a half years old, appearing in numerous independent film projects, and landed her first lead role at the tender age of four. Her impressive acting skills earned her recognition, and she went on to appear in dozens of student, short, and feature films.
As a child, Jamey pursued acting for many years, but her passion for music began to surface, and her acting career went on the backburner. Seven years later, in 2015, a random opportunity came her way, and she was cast as the lead in a feature film, where she shot a sizzle trailer. Since then, she has been falling back into acting, but what makes this so great is that she can now bring her music into her projects.
Jamey has an IMDB listing with music credits and hopes to add more to her acting credits as well. As an emerging indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, she plays with feelings from the heart, losing herself in her music, delighting audiences while stirring their imagination, leaving them wanting more.
Jamey's music is influenced by artists such as Elliott Smith, King Krule, The Mamas and the Papas, Joni Mitchell, Mac DeMarco, The Velvet Underground, and Angel Olsen. Her genre or style doesn't fit the norm of today's music, but if you listen closely, you might hear a sweet mix of acoustic and electric sounds from dreamy surf to folk pop that can easily transport you back to the sixties.
Jamey has had the opportunity to open for award-winning, folk singer Judy Collins, legendary musician Peter Frampton, Grammy-winning guitarist Albert Lee, 'First Lady of Woodstock' Melanie Safka, Crystal Bowersox, and Will Champlin. For the fourth straight year, she was selected to play at the 2016 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. She has toured throughout California, Colorado, Arizona, Louisiana, and has played at top music venues and festivals.
