James Ronald Whitney is a bi-coastal filmmaker who has spent nearly two decades living on both coasts of the United States. Born, married, and divorced in Las Vegas, Whitney has had a diverse and adventurous life. In his formative years, he was a competitive wrestler, martial artist, golfer, racquetball player, and gymnast, and he was also an instructor of judo and dance. He has backpacked through over 100 countries, raised three monkeys, and learned to pilot a high-performance plane.

Whitney's first career was as a professional dancer, where he performed on hit shows like "Fame" and won awards on "Dance Fever" and "Star Search." He was even a Chippendale's Dancer for several years. At 17, he was awarded a Congressional appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy, where he joined the cheerleading squad, gymnastics team, and soccer team.

Whitney has also had a successful career in finance, serving as Vice President at several Wall Street firms, including John Hancock and The Royal Bank of Canada. He has been featured in numerous financial publications and has received countless financial achievement awards.

In addition to his work in finance, Whitney is an accomplished musician, playing the saxophone, percussion, cello, and piano. He has written and scored two musicals, "Yesterday's Tear" and "Hoods," and has written dozens of songs.
