Biography

James Morrison is a multifaceted artist, with a career spanning over four decades. Born in Utah and raised in Alaska, he began his professional journey as a clown and wire walker in the circus before transitioning to the world of theatre.

Morrison's early years were marked by a stint at the Alaska Repertory Theatre, where he honed his craft under the guidance of renowned directors such as Robert Egan, Emily Mann, and Des McAnuff. He went on to appear at some of America's most prestigious theatres, including the McCarter Theatre, the La Jolla Playhouse, and the Old Globe.

Throughout his career, Morrison has received numerous accolades, including a SAG Award nomination and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance. He has also been recognized for his work in radio, including productions for L.A. TheatreWorks and the Sundance Channel.

As a filmmaker, Morrison has written, directed, and produced several short films, including "Parking" (1996) and "Nude Descending" (1997). His work has screened at numerous film festivals worldwide, including the New York Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival, and the Montreal World Film Festival.

In addition to his work in film and theatre, Morrison is also a singer-songwriter, with two albums available on iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon. He has also taught yoga for over a decade, receiving his certification from the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara.

Morrison's personal life is filled with love and family. He is married to his wife, Riad Galayini, and they have a son, Seamus, who recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and received his master's degree from Pepperdine University.
