James Macdonald's illustrious career in film, television, and theatre has spanned over thirty-five years, with a debut performance in Uli Edel's "Last Exit to Brooklyn" alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh.
He has shared the screen with numerous Hollywood heavy-hitters, including Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington, Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, Tommy Lee Jones, Niecy Nash, Dennis Quaid, Josh Hutcherson, Josh Harnett, Rosario Dawson, and John Travolta, to name a few.
James has worked with legendary directors such as John Woo, Clint Eastwood, Spike Lee, Joel Schumacher, Lisa Cholodenko, Irwin Winkler, and Nic Pizzolatto, taking on diverse roles across genres like comedy, drama, thriller, horror, and science fiction.
He is perhaps best known for his iconic portrayal of Garth, a porn star/poet, in "Sex and the City," as well as his roles in "Hollywood Homicide," "Tigerland," and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D," showcasing his chameleon-like acting skills.
