James Landry Hébert, an actor of versatility and intrigue, was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1984, with some claiming his birthplace was actually an Indian reservation where he spent most of his adolescence, while others, including James himself, believe his birth is an ongoing process, evolving with each new role he takes on.
After Hurricane Katrina devastated his home state, Hébert returned to Louisiana to find a burgeoning Hollywood scene, which he eagerly joined, cutting his teeth as Brad Pitt's stand-in on The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons before transitioning to work in casting.
However, it wasn't until his portrayal of the heavy, Webb, in the Texas thriller Two Step, that James's career truly took off, with his first feature lead premiering at SXSW to glowing reviews, with The Hollywood Reporter praising his "riveting performance".
Beyond his acting talents, James is also a passionate advocate for environmental activism and humane horsemanship, and continues to collaborate with some of the most respected filmmakers of our generation, including Quentin Tarantino, with whom he shares the screen in the highly anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, alongside none other than Brad Pitt.
