Biography

James Gallanders, a talented individual, entered the world on February 9th, 1970, at Scarborough General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Oshawa, James discovered the transformative power of acting at a young age, utilizing it as a means to overcome his stutter. This newfound voice enabled him to become deeply involved in his community and school, fostering a passion for the performing arts.

Following his graduation from York University's prestigious Acting Program in 1993, James's career flourished, with early success in guest appearances on television shows such as Due South, La Femme Nikita, and Psi Factor. He also landed notable film roles in Reluctant Angel and Bride of Chucky.

Several of James's films garnered international recognition, including the Atom Egoyan-exec-produced Babyface, which premiered at the esteemed Cannes International Film Festival in 1997. Additionally, The Third Miracle, in which he starred alongside Ed Harris, and Shake Hands with the Devil, shot on location in Rwanda, both premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In 2008, James exchanged vows with actress Stacie Mistysyn, best known for her portrayal of Caitlyn Ryan on the popular DeGrassi series. Together, they share two beautiful children, a son named Grayson Gallanders and a daughter named River Gallanders.
