Biography

James Christopher Bolam, a talented individual, took his first breath on June 16th, 1935, at the Sunderland Maternity Home, marking the beginning of a remarkable life journey. His parents, Marion and Robert Bolam, were overjoyed at the arrival of their newborn son.

As he grew up, James pursued his education at the esteemed Bede Grammar School. Following his academic endeavors, he enrolled in a drama school, laying the groundwork for a future career in the performing arts. His early experiences in the industry were shaped by his time in repertory in Dundee, where he had the privilege of working alongside the renowned Sir Ralph Richardson.

James's professional trajectory continued to flourish as he made the move to London, where he would eventually establish himself as a prominent figure in the world of drama. On a personal note, he has been blessed with a loving family, having married the talented actress Susan Jameson, with whom he shares a daughter, Lucy, born in 1976.

As his family grew, so did his love for the countryside. James and his family made the decision to relocate from their urban home in Fulham to a picturesque area near Horsham in Sussex. This move has allowed him to indulge in his passion for horse racing, as he now owns two exceptional racehorses, "King Credo" and "Unique New Yorker".

"King Credo", a true champion, had already made a name for itself by 1993, having won three prestigious races, including the Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury. This remarkable feat not only showcased the horse's exceptional abilities but also repaid James's initial investment and training costs, making it a truly rewarding experience.
