Jason William Mizell, professionally known as Jam Master Jay, was a renowned American musician and DJ, born on January 21, 1965, and tragically taken away on October 30, 2002. He was an integral part of the groundbreaking hip-hop group Run-DMC, which, during the 1980s, revolutionized the music industry by successfully introducing hip-hop to mainstream audiences.

As the DJ of Run-DMC, Mizell played a pivotal role in shaping the group's unique sound and style, which captivated fans worldwide. The group's immense popularity can be attributed to their innovative blend of hip-hop, rock, and pop music, as well as their energetic live performances.
