Jake Dylan Wood, a British actor and podcaster, born on July 12, 1972, hails from Westminster, a region in the United Kingdom. He is particularly renowned for his portrayal of the character Max Branning in the esteemed BBC soap opera EastEnders. Wood's extensive acting career has also led to guest appearances in notable television series such as Only Fools and Horses and Red Dwarf.

In 2014, Wood participated in the popular BBC reality show Strictly Come Dancing, accompanied by professional dancer Janette Manrara. Additionally, he is widely recognized in the United States as the voice of the GEICO gecko in a series of television commercials for the American insurance company GEICO.
