Melbourne-born Ryan is one of Australia's most sought-after and versatile young actors, with a range of skills that extend far beyond the dramatic arts.
In addition to his acting talents, Ryan has a remarkable background in martial arts, having studied Taekwondo for an impressive eighteen years. He earned his black belt at the young age of nine, making him the youngest person to achieve this feat in Australia at the time.
As a multi-international medalist and Korean Open Champion, Ryan was also a member of the Australian National team for eight years, and a ten-time Australian champion. He even managed to rank 4th best in the world on three occasions, demonstrating his exceptional skill and dedication.
However, Ryan's Olympic dreams were unfortunately cut short due to a serious knee injury just a year prior to the Beijing Games. This setback led him to relocate to Sydney, where he could pursue his other passion - acting.
Ryan went on to study with the legendary Bill Hunter, who sadly passed away, and spent two years honing his craft at the Actors Centre Australia.
Throughout his career, Ryan has appeared in a variety of television shows, including Last Man Standing, Home and Away, Trouble in Paradise, and the acclaimed Nine Network drama series Underbelly: Razor, in which he played the pivotal role of legendary 1920s policeman, "Ray Blissett".
Ryan has also starred in several short films, as well as feature movies such as Salam Namaste, Boytown, and most recently, Baz Luhrmann's production of The Great Gatsby.
But Ryan's talents don't stop at acting - he is also a gifted painter, working towards having his own exhibition in the near future.
