Jake Ferree, a talented individual born in the winter of 1988 to Rob and Laura Ferree in St. Louis, Missouri, was nurtured in a household where music and acting were an integral part of daily life. His overactive imagination, encouraged by his supportive parents, led him to pursue a career in the performing arts.
Growing up, Jake was surrounded by music, and he naturally developed a knack for playing various instruments, including the piano and guitar, with minimal formal training. He even picked up most instruments simply by ear, a testament to his innate musical ability. This talent was further encouraged when he began auditioning for local community and professional plays in St. Louis.
At the age of 16, Jake co-wrote the play "My America" and starred in it, also writing the music. He took his talents to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2005, where he showcased his work. This marked the beginning of a successful career in music and acting.
Jake's passion for music led him to co-found the band "The Makeshift Gentlemen," which toured the United States for over six years, sharing the stage and studios with notable bands like "The Ataris," "The Von Bondies," and "The Faint."
After graduating early with his BFA in Acting/Directing from Southeast Missouri State University, Jake continued to hone his acting skills, accumulating credits from various playhouses across the United States, while maintaining St. Louis as his home base.
In 2014, Jake made the bold move to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in film. He quickly landed a role in the 20th Century Fox pilot spinoff "How I Met Your Dad" and has since worked with esteemed companies like Disney and DreamWorks Animation, further solidifying his place in the entertainment industry.
