Sir John Young Stewart, OBE, a renowned Scottish former Formula One racing driver, earned the esteemed nickname "Flying Scot" throughout his illustrious career. Spanning nine seasons from 1965 to 1973, Stewart's remarkable Formula One achievements included claiming three World Drivers' Championships and finishing as runner-up twice. His impressive track record outside of Formula One includes a thrilling Indianapolis 500 debut in 1966, where he narrowly missed out on a win. Additionally, Stewart participated in the Can-Am series in 1970 and 1971, demonstrating his versatility and skill as a driver. In a subsequent venture, Stewart co-founded the Stewart Grand Prix Formula One racing team with his son, Paul, serving as team principal from 1997 to 1999.
