Chris O'Maley, born in Rockland, Maine, was raised in Sanford, Maine by his mother, a hardworking woman who toiled in various factories to provide for him, and his father Terry O'Maley, an award-winning watercolor artist and greeting card writer. O'Maley's cousin, Edna St. Vincent Millay, was a renowned American poet and playwright who received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1923.
As he grew up, O'Maley chose to pursue a career in entertainment, rather than following in his artistic family's footsteps. He began his journey in the 1980s as a stand-up comedian, heavily influenced by Eddie Murphy and Sam Kinison. He then transitioned into music, becoming the singer/songwriter for several bands, including Naked Flesh and Attitude, Ransak, and Daddy Lawless. Ransak's second CD was produced by Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra member Jon Oliva, while Daddy Lawless opened for the legendary band Stranger on the Angry Dogs tour.
O'Maley's music career was marked by a unique blend of styles, and he also worked as a backup vocalist for Grammy Award-winning country star Brad Paisley and sang a duet with Grammy Award-winning country star Lee Ann Womack. He has also appeared in numerous commercials, including campaigns for Pepsi, Doritos, Ford, Callaway Golf, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Nissan, Sonic, Volkswagen, and Visa, as well as a personal favorite, the New England Patriots.
Throughout his career, O'Maley has worked with some of the best in the business, including Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey, Stephen Gaghan, and Jeff Bridges, and Emmy winners Seth MacFarlane, Colin Bucksey, and Jimmy Romano. He has also shared the screen with Josh Brolin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wesley Snipes, Tony Goldwyn, and Ashton Kutcher, as well as music icons Pink, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, and Snoop Dogg.
