Jack was born into a family deeply rooted in the United States Air Force, with his father's career taking them on a journey to various duty stations across the globe. Their travels took them from Georgia, where Jack's life began, to Germany, where he spent part of his childhood, and eventually to New York State, where he experienced the diverse culture and landscapes of the East Coast.
As his father's career continued to evolve, Jack's family eventually returned to their home state of Alabama, where he completed his high school education and began to explore his interests in the arts. It was during this time that Jack first discovered his passion for filmmaking, with his introduction to the world of cinema coming in the form of a background role in the iconic film "Norma Rae".
As Jack progressed through his academic journey, he found himself drawn to the Pre-veterinary Medicine curriculum at Auburn University, where he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Despite his initial focus on medicine, Jack's creative spark continued to burn bright, and he began to explore his passion for writing, both fiction and non-fiction.
After graduating from college, Jack embarked on a career in Environmental Science, working for the Florida Public Health Agency. It was during this time that he honed his skills in research and writing, laying the groundwork for his future pursuits in the entertainment industry.
As Jack's career in Environmental Science came to a close, he made the bold decision to pursue his true passion: filmmaking. He obtained a US Coast Guard Captain's License and founded a saltwater charter fishing business in the picturesque Key West/Lower Keys area, where he quickly established himself as an authority on saltwater fly fishing.
Years later, Jack made the move to Alabama's Gulf Coast, where he continued to operate his charter fishing business while also seeking out opportunities to work in film production. It was here that he began to lay the groundwork for his future career as an actor and screenwriter, eventually making the full-time transition to pursue his dreams in the entertainment industry.
