Biography

Jack Nicholson, a renowned American actor, producer, director, and screenwriter, has accumulated numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career. With a total of three Academy Award wins and twelve nominations, he has solidified his position as a Hollywood icon.

Born on April 22, 1937, in Neptune, New Jersey, Nicholson's early life was marked by a unique family situation. He was raised believing his grandmother was his mother, and his mother, June Frances Nicholson, was his older sister. It wasn't until 1975 that he discovered the truth about his parentage.

Nicholson's film debut came in 1958 with the B-movie The Cry Baby Killer. He went on to appear in a string of Roger Corman films, including The Little Shop of Horrors, before landing his breakout role in Easy Rider in 1969.

The 1970s saw Nicholson's career take off with performances in Five Easy Pieces, Chinatown, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, for which he won his first Best Actor Oscar. He continued to impress audiences with his versatility, taking on roles in The Shining, Terms of Endearment, and Prizzi's Honor.

In the 1990s, Nicholson starred in A Few Good Men and Mars Attacks!, and in the 2000s, he appeared in The Departed, As Good as It Gets, and The Bucket List. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and nominations, including seven Golden Globe Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor.

Nicholson has six children with five different women: Jennifer Nicholson, Caleb Goddard, Honey Hollman, Lorraine Nicholson, Ray Nicholson, and Tessa Gourin. His longest relationship was with Anjelica Huston, lasting 17 years before ending due to his subsequent relationship with Rebecca Broussard.
