Jack's journey in the world of acting began while he was pursuing a degree in architecture at the University of California, Berkeley. After completing his education, he obtained a license to practice architecture in the state of Washington, but his life took an unexpected turn when he embarked on a six-year study program with the renowned Uta Hagen at HB Studios in New York City.
During his time in architectural offices, Jack continued to nurture his passion for acting, taking on various roles in theaters across different states. His breakthrough came when he landed a spot in a Broadway show and a major motion picture, "Bananas", which cemented his decision to pursue a career in acting.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jack has worked extensively on stage, both on and off Broadway, and in theaters from Maine to San Diego. His impressive film and television credits include a three-year stint on the popular soap opera "General Hospital", as well as numerous sitcoms and dramas such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "My Name is Earl".
In addition to his acting career, Jack has also shared his expertise by teaching at several esteemed universities, including the University of Wisconsin, Michigan, Boston University, Penn State, Temple University, California State University, Northridge and Bakersfield, California Institute of the Arts, and Brandeis University.
Currently, at the age of 80, Jack continues to pursue his passion for acting, and can be found guest teaching at Aaron Speiser Acting Studio in Los Angeles.
