J. Scott Bronson is a multifaceted artist, boasting a impressive repertoire as a playwright, actor, and stage director. His artistic endeavors have been deeply rooted in his alma maters, having studied theater at San Diego Mesa Jr. College and Brigham Young University. While attending BYU, Bronson was actively involved with the Writer/Director/Actor workshop, serving as a writer three times and a director once.

During his time at BYU, Bronson's creative pursuits extended beyond the realm of playwriting, as he also began his acting career. His theatrical talents did not go unnoticed, as two of his plays, Heartlight: A Domestic Suite (1984) and Arthur's Place: A Romantic Fantasy of Sorts (1986),secured second place in the prestigious BYU Mayhew Playwriting Contest.

Bronson's impressive body of work has garnered numerous accolades, including first-place wins for his plays Confessions (1994) and Altars (1994) in the Sunstone Mormon One-Act Playwriting Contest. Furthermore, his play Stones (2001) received the Association for Mormon Letters Best Drama Award.

In addition to his notable playwriting achievements, Bronson has also penned Altars, Tombs, Brothers, and Dial Tones. His acting credits are equally impressive, having appeared in a wide range of stage, television, and film productions. Some of his notable roles include performances in plays such as "Terra Nova", "Lion in the Winter", and "Wait Until Dark", as well as appearances in TV series and movies like Touched by an Angel, Double Jeopardy, The Stand, Not in This Town, The Visitor, A Town Has Turned to Dust, Secret Life, The Test of Love, Anya's Bell, Everwood, Right on Track, The American Experience: Transcontinental Railroad, and The President's Child.
