Ivan Petrushinov, a renowned Bulgarian theater and cinema actor, was born on January 15, 1953, in the charming town of Godech, Bulgaria. After completing his education at the prestigious National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1976, he embarked on a illustrious career in the entertainment industry.
Petrushinov's cinematic debut was in the film "The Blue Lamp" in 1973, marking the beginning of his fruitful journey in the world of cinema. From 1976 to 1979, he honed his craft as an actor at the esteemed Lovech Drama Theatre. His remarkable performance as Edgar in the play "The New Sorrows of Young Werther" earned him the Union of Bulgarian Actors' Award for the best young actor in 1979.
Throughout his illustrious career, Petrushinov has had the privilege of performing with several prominent theater companies. He was a part of the Theater "Sofia" troupe from 1979 to 1990 and has been a stalwart member of the Little city Theatre "Off the channel" since 1990.
