Biography

Ivan Bosiljcic is a renowned Serbian actor, celebrated for his leading roles in a wide range of television and cinematic productions, as well as theatrical plays and musicals. He is a prominent figure at the National Drama Theater in Belgrade.

Born in the small town of Uzice, Western Serbia, Ivan's journey in the world of acting began after graduating from high school in 1997. He moved to Novi Sad to attend the Academy of Arts under the guidance of the esteemed director and writer Vida Ognjenovic. Later, he relocated to Belgrade to pursue his acting career.

Ivan's breakthrough in television came in 2004, when he played the role of A.P. Chekhov in the television film "On the harmful effects of tobacco," produced by the Serbian National Television. Concurrently, he started appearing in musical productions, earning recognition for his roles in "Grease," "Kiss me Kate," "A Chorus line," "Les Miserables," "Rebecca," "Chicago," and many more.

In addition to his television and stage work, Ivan has also participated in numerous dramas, including "Hamlet," "Twelfth night," "Mary Stuart," "The Great Gatsby," "Play Shakespeare," "Mileva Einstein," and over 20 national plays.

His national fame grew significantly after his roles in the TV serials "The dollars are coming" in 2004, "To love or to hate" in 2006, and "Wounded eagle" in 2008. The latter became the most popular TV serial in Serbian TV history, and Ivan received an award at the National Film Festival in Nis for his role in the movie "On the beautiful blue Danube." To date, he has participated in over 10 national and international TV and movie projects, including the Russian TV serial "Hotel Rossia" in 2016.

Ivan has also lent his voice to numerous animated movies, dubbed in Serbian, such as "Teenage Ninja mutant turtle's," "The Flowertoots," "Planet 51," "Peter Pan," and "Frozen."

Beyond his acting career, Ivan is well-known in the Balkan region for his concerts and music and poetry evenings. He has been performing in Serbia, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland for the past nine years, and his upcoming concerts in Australia, Canada, and the USA will take place by the end of 2017.

Throughout his career, Ivan has received numerous awards for his outstanding work.
