Iulian Postelnicu, a talented individual with a strong educational background, earned his Bachelor's Degree in acting from the prestigious National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the opportunity to play a diverse range of supporting characters in notable films such as Domestic (2012),A Decent Man (2018),and One Floor Below (2015),which garnered him a Gopo nomination for Best Supporting Character.
In 2019, he took on the pivotal role of Vali in Arrest, a performance that earned him the Gopo Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
His impressive repertoire of characters continues to grow, with recent notable roles including Costin in Otto the Barbarian (2020),Daniel in the HBO TV show Ruxx (2022),Sorin in the HBO TV show Spy/Master (2023),and Ilie in Men of Deeds (2022),for which he received numerous accolades, including the Gopo Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Beyond his acting career, Iulian Postelnicu has also explored his creative talents as a writer, contributing to several Romanian TV shows, such as Mondenii, SRC, and Las Fierbinti. In addition, he co-wrote the screenplay for Unidentified (2020) alongside Bogdan George Apetri, which earned them the Gopo Award for Best Screenplay.
