Iskra Jirsak is a highly accomplished Croatian stage and film actress, born in 1987 in the vibrant city of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. She embarked on her artistic journey at a young age, honing her craft on the stage and developing her skills in film and television during her studies.
After graduating from the prestigious Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb in 2011, Iskra's career took off with her first television appearance in 2010, playing the role of Marta Elezovic in the popular TV series "Najbolje godine" ("The best years").
Her breakthrough in film came with a role in Tomislav Radic's feature film "Kotlovina" (2011),where she portrayed the character of Danijela, a performance that earned the film six awards, including a prestigious win at the Pula Film Festival.
The same year, Iskra was cast in the lead role of Lana Ivekovic in Aldo Tardozzi's feature debut "Spots", a film that premiered at the Pula Film Festival and went on to win the "Rising Star" award at the Canada International Film Festival and the "Europe out of Europe" jury award at the Serbian International Film Festival, FEST.
Iskra's impressive range and talent were further showcased in the play "Sutra (ni)je novi dan" ("Tomorow is(not) a new day"),directed by Ivica Boban, which earned her the best actress award at the Mostar Theatre Festival, Mostarska Liska, and the International festival ZAPLET05 in Banja Luka.
Her success continued with the play "ThisCasting", for which she received the coveted Croatian Actors Award. Since then, Iskra has been a sought-after talent, appearing in numerous TV, film, and theatre productions, and is currently working on a new play.
