Indranil Roychowdhury is a renowned film director hailing from the vibrant city of Kolkata, where Bengali cinema is an integral part of the cultural landscape.
After completing his undergraduate degree in English from Jadavpur University in 1992, Roychowdhury went on to pursue a postgraduate Diploma in Film Direction from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, graduating in 1995.
Following his stint at FTII, Roychowdhury returned to his hometown of Kolkata, where he worked as a freelance writer and director from 1996 to 2000, honing his craft and building a reputation as a talented filmmaker.
Roychowdhury's directorial debut feature film is the critically acclaimed "Phoring", which showcased his unique storytelling abilities and cinematic vision.
