Ildar Abdrazakov, a renowned Russian opera singer, has achieved immense success in his career, earning a Grammy Award and the prestigious title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
From a young age, Ildar's passion for music was evident, despite the initial skepticism of his teachers. At the tender age of five, he began studying piano at the Ufa Secondary Special Music School. However, five years later, his teachers declared that he had no hearing and no ear for music. Undeterred, Ildar's father decided not to force him to continue with tedious scales and solfeggio, and instead, took his documents from school.
Despite the setback, Ildar continued to study music and singing at home, with his father's guidance. This dedication ultimately led him to meet Milyausha Murtazina, a professor at the Ufa State Institute of Arts named after Zagir Ismagilov, who recognized his potential and offered to give him lessons to prepare him for admission to the Institute of Arts.
Ildar's hard work and talent paid off, as he graduated from Ufa secondary school in 1992 and went on to enter the preparatory department of the Ufa State Institute of Fine Arts. He later graduated from the institute in 1999, studying under the guidance of Professor M. Murtazina.
Ildar's rise to fame began in 1994, when he became a soloist of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, showcasing his talent to a wider audience. He went on to win several international competitions, including the Mikhail Glinka competition, and received the 'Grand Prize of Moscow' at the television competition of Irina Arkhipova in 1997.
Ildar's impressive performances caught the attention of renowned opera stars, including the famous prima Irina Arkhipova, who predicted a brilliant future for him on the world opera stage. In 2001, he made his debut at La Scala, at the invitation of the artistic director and chief conductor of the theater, Riccardo Muti.
