Biography

Ian Ziering was born on March 30, 1964, in West Orange, New Jersey. He began his acting career at a young age, landing spots in national commercials at 12 and later appearing in soap operas, stage plays, and films. His breakout role came in 1990 when he played Steve Sanders on the teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210.

During his time on the show, Ziering appeared in various films and television shows, including Russell Crowe's No Way Back, What I Like About You, and Melrose Place. He continued to work in television, appearing on shows like CSI: NY, JAG, and Fran Drescher's Happily Divorced.

In addition to his acting work, Ziering has also appeared in several animated films and television shows, including Spider-Man, Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and Biker Mice from Mars. He has also lent his voice to various video games and documentaries.

In 2005, Ziering appeared in the Tony Scott feature film thriller Domino, alongside Keira Knightley. He has since appeared in a number of films, including National Lampoon's: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus, That's My Boy, An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars, Snake & Mongoose, and Christmas in Palm Springs.

In 2007, Ziering competed on the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars, where he was paired with two-time Mirror Ball Champion Cheryl Burke. The pair eventually made it to the semifinals.

In 2013, Ziering starred as the celebrity guest host of the Chippendales at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He dropped 30 pounds and transformed himself into a fit and muscled man, thrilling sold-out audiences. His engagement with the Chippendales brought him a new wave of fans and international acclaim.

That same year, Ziering appeared in the small-budget film Sharknado, which became a social media and worldwide phenomenon. The film's success led to a franchise, with Ziering reprising his role as Fin Shepard in Sharknado 2: The Second One and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. The films have become cult classics and have been released in theaters around the world.

In addition to his acting work, Ziering is a philanthropist and has supported several charitable causes. He has competed on NBC's The Celebrity Edition of The Apprentice, where he raised over $320,000 for the EB Medical Research Foundation.
