During the tumultuous 2007-08 Writers Guild of America (WGA) writers strike, Ian co-founded the influential United Hollywood website, which served as a vital platform for writers and industry professionals to share their experiences and concerns.
Furthermore, Ian demonstrated his commitment to the writers' community by serving two consecutive terms on the WGAw Board of Directors from 2009 to 2013, utilizing his skills and expertise to shape the organization's policies and initiatives.
