Biography

Hsu Hsiao-Ming, a renowned Taiwanese director, embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of film production, screenwriting, and directing, acquiring a strong foundation at the esteemed Shih Hsin School of Journalism.

Under the mentorship of Lee Hsing, Hsu Hsiao-Ming honed his skills as a second assistant director, while also having the privilege of collaborating with the acclaimed Hou Hsiao-hsien.

This collaborative experience ultimately led to the creation of Hsu Hsiao-Ming's inaugural feature film, Dust of Angels, a cinematic masterpiece produced by none other than Hou Hsiao-hsien himself.

Dust of Angels received widespread recognition, including a prestigious presentation at the Cannes Directors' Fortnight, a testament to Hsu Hsiao-Ming's exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.
