Christos Passalis is a multifaceted creative individual, exceling in both the realms of theatre and film as a director and actor, hailing from the culturally rich city of Thessaloniki, Greece.
As an actor, he has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned directors, including Yorgos Lanthimos, whose critically acclaimed film "Dogtooth" earned the Prix Un Certain Regard at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival and a Best Foreign Language Film nomination at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Passalis has also had the opportunity to work with other esteemed directors, such as Syllas Tzoumerkas, with whom he co-directed the hybrid film "The City and the City", which premiered at the Encounters Competition of the 72nd Berlinale and later made its North-American debut at the New Directors/New Films by MoMA and Film at Lincoln Center.
Furthermore, he has appeared in a range of films, including "Homeland" (Venice 2010),"The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea" (Berlinale 2019),"Black Field" (Karlovy Vary IFF 2010),and "History's Future".
