Holly Irgen, also known as Sara Rita Giuliana Muscovich Negri D'Albona, was born on February 6, 1966, at the Rapallo hospital in Portofino, Italy. Her parents, Triestini, had a complex family history, with her father, Dario Negri, having spent his early childhood in Istria before fleeing to Liguria in 1945.
Holly's maternal grandfather was the Marquess Giuliana Giberti, and her mother, Fulvia Muscovich, was a descendant of this noble family. Holly's paternal grandmother, Maria Antonietta Giberti, was of Modenese origin, and her paternal grandfather, Earl Fulvio De Nigris D'Albona, was from Bergamo, with the family's ancestral home dating back to 1420 in Albona, which is now part of Rabac.
Holly spent her childhood moving between various locations, including Rapallo, Legnano, Milan, Sori, Recco, Mulinetti, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Trieste, and Lido di Jesolo in the Veneto region. Her father later chose to settle in the countryside of Val Fontanabuona in the province of Genoa.
During her school years, Holly also spent short periods in Cambridge, UK, and Mainz, Germany. After completing her education, she divided her time between Genoa, Milan, and Alessandria before settling in Rome.
Holly began her acting career at the age of 50, proving that it's never too late to pursue one's dreams.
