Herb Ankrom is a seasoned film and television executive producer, boasting an impressive twenty-year tenure in the entertainment industry. His illustrious career began in Los Angeles in 1995, where he started out as a production assistant on the iconic sitcom Roseanne. Subsequently, he worked in various production roles on several notable films, including Batman and Robin, Cruel Intentions, and The Bourne Identity.
Fast-forward to 2002, when Herb was recruited to produce a pilot for ABC, which ultimately evolved into the popular show Extreme Makeover Home Edition. His contributions to the program spanned five seasons, earning the show two Emmy awards and a staggering five nominations. Following his successful stint on Extreme Makeover, Herb took on the role of Director of Development for a production company, where he played a pivotal part in developing and producing a range of feel-good shows, including NBC's School Pride and ABC's True Beauty 1&2.
Most recently, Herb has worked as an Executive Producer on the forthcoming feature film Open Water: Cage Dive, set to be released through Lionsgate.
