Helena Christensen's early life was marked by a fascination with music, with aspirations to become a musician. However, her destiny took a dramatic turn at the tender age of nine, when she began her journey as a model. Following her departure from school, she relocated to the City of Light, Paris, France, where she secured a modeling contract with the esteemed French magazine 'Elle'. In 1986, she represented Denmark at the prestigious Miss Universe contest, although unfortunately, she did not receive a placement.
It wasn't until June 1989 that her career received a significant boost, courtesy of photographer Friedemann Hauss, who intuitively recognized Helena's innate talent for modeling. Since then, her career has experienced an exponential rise, solidifying her position as one of the world's leading catwalk queens. In addition to her impressive modeling credentials, Helena has also ventured into the world of cinema, making her acting debut in the British TV movie Inferno (1980) and subsequently appearing in a cameo role in Robert Altman's Ready to Wear (1994).
