Biography

Texas-born Helen Vinson was born Helen Rulfs on September 17, 1907, in Beaumont, the daughter of an oil company executive. The family eventually settled in Houston, where her passion for acting was ignited. She married Harry N. Vickerman, a man 15 years her senior, in her teens.
