Helen's professional journey began with a stint as an actor, where she initially made her mark by securing small television roles during the early 1980s. It wasn't until 1983, however, that she embarked on a new path, devoting herself to the art of opera at the ripe age of 35. Her subsequent performances with the esteemed Melbourne Opera Company would go on to span several decades, concluding with her untimely passing in 2016.
Throughout her remarkable career, Helen was married to the loving Pieter Zwart, and the couple was blessed with a son, Mario, who would undoubtedly have been the apple of her eye.
