Hele Kõrve is a multifaceted Estonian performer, renowned for her work in stage, television, film, and voice acting, as well as singing.
Born Hele Kõre on January 7, 1980, in the town of Jõgeva, Jõgeva County, Estonia, she graduated from the Jõgeva Gymnasium in 1998. She then pursued her passion for acting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating in 2002 alongside notable alumni such as Priit Võigemast, Ott Aardam, Maria Soomets, Karin Rask, Mart Toome, Evelin Võigemast, Elisabet Reinsalu, and Argo Aadli.
Kõrve made her film debut in the 2002 Elmo Nüganen-directed film Nimed marmortahvlil, starring alongside Priit Võigemast, Indrek Sammul, and future husband Alo Kõrve. This was followed by her role as Marion in the 2005 Andrus Tuisk-directed horror short film Ukse taga, as well as appearances in films such as Võõras, Mina olin siin, Rotilõks, and Rohelised kassid.
In addition to her film work, Kõrve has also provided singing voices for various projects. In 2007, she lent her vocals to the role of Asta Ots in the Peeter Simm-directed biopic film Georg, while Russian actress Anastasiya Makeyeva played the speaking role. Kõrve has also worked as a voice actress, dubbing foreign animated films into the Estonian language, including the 2012 Disney Pixar film Brave, where she voiced the main character Merida.
In 2014, Kõrve took on the dual roles of speaking and singing voice for Anna in the Walt Disney Animation Studios' animated film Frozen, singing the Estonian versions of the songs "For the First Time in Forever" and "Love Is an Open Door". More recently, she appeared alongside her husband as Edith Parik in the 2020 Margus Paju-directed World War II spy drama O2.
