Heiko Obermöller began his theatrical journey at the tender age of 16, singing and acting in various musicals such as "Jesus Christ Superstar," which took him on a tour across Germany in 1990. His talent did not go unnoticed, as a German casting director spotted him and invited him to a TV audition, ultimately leading to his first episodic lead in German television.
Around the same time, Heiko won first prize in a competition for young German pianists, and at the age of 19, he was faced with a daunting decision: to pursue a career in acting or music. Despite his love for music, he surprisingly chose to attend law school.
However, he managed to balance his academic pursuits with his acting career, landing a recurring role in the German soap opera "Jede Menge Leben" and his first leading role in RTL's prime time series "Titus, der Satansbraten." He also appeared in feature films and had a regular role in the long-running hospital series "St. Angela."
In addition to his acting endeavors, Heiko's musical career flourished, and in 1996, he was selected to join the German Boy Band "One Way" and released his debut recording, "Joy and Pain."
Throughout his early twenties, Heiko continued to study law while maintaining a thriving career as a voice artist, starring in several radio plays for the WDR radio station and becoming one of the top voice-over talents in Germany.
At the age of 25, Heiko met Professor Rudolf Debiel, a renowned actor and director, who would go on to become his mentor. Professor Debiel invited Heiko to join the Freie Literaturbühne, his theatre group in Cologne, where he starred in many of Professor Debiel's plays over the next four years.
During this period, Heiko also performed in theatre engagements in Bochum at the "Comödie" and in Krefeld's "Kresch-Theater." However, he eventually realized the importance of continued exposure in TV and film, as well as a stable and reliable income, and accepted a leading role in the successful WDR series "Die Anrheiner," which he remained a part of for ten years before leaving in 2007 after performing in nearly 500 episodes.
Heiko has also explored his passion for writing and directing, with his first production, "Einer für Alle. Alle für Einen," being nominated for the best upcoming radio play in 2006.
Today, Heiko is actively pursuing acting opportunities in the USA, the UK, and Germany.
