Born in San Antonio, Texas, Hector Machado was the youngest of four siblings, and it was on this stage that his acting journey first began. Throughout his extensive film and television career, he has had the privilege of sharing the screen with a wide range of talented actors, including Woody Harrelson in The Duel, Joaquim de Almeida in Queen of the South, and most recently, LaKeith Stanfield and Marilu Henner in Haunted Mansion.
Hector's early years were marked by a passion for the arts, which led him to attend the 2011 Sundance Film Festival for his role in the feature film All She Can, an official selection at the time known as Benavides Born.
In addition to his extensive training in acting, Hector has also honed his skills through his work with the renowned Stella Adler studio, as well as various coaches in the Austin area. Interestingly, Hector's educational background is quite diverse, having initially pursued a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Houston, and is even a registered Architect in the State of Texas.
Hector's upbringing was also shaped by his linguistic and cultural heritage. As his mother was raised in Mexico and moved to the US in 1951, Spanish was his first language. His father, on the other hand, grew up on a ranch in nearby Elmendorf, Texas. Today, Hector's greatest treasures are his loving wife, a dedicated public schoolteacher, and his talented daughter, a budding writer.
