Biography

Donald J. Stansauk, a formidable character actor, was born on April 2nd, 1925, in Los Angeles, California, with a distinctive bald head and a signature mustache. Initially, Stansauk pursued a career in professional football, playing for the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. However, he eventually transitioned to professional wrestling, adopting the ring name H.B. Haggerty, which stood for "Hard Boiled."

Haggerty went on to wrestle in the AWA for many years, and at one point, he shared the Tag Team Championship Belt with fellow wrestler and later actor, Lenny Montana. His imposing physique and intimidating appearance made him a natural fit for playing tough, rugged characters, often portraying thugs, gangsters, and other unsavory villains.

One of Haggerty's most notable roles was as the menacing wrestler "Billy Kiss" in the 1980 film Battle Creek Brawl, where he engaged in a physical confrontation with a young Jackie Chan. Sadly, Haggerty passed away on January 27th, 2004, due to complications from a stroke.
