Biography

Hassan Koubba's life took an unexpected turn when he stumbled upon René Clair's film La Beauté du diable, a cinematic masterpiece that kindled a passion within him to pursue a career in acting. Born to be an ornithologist, Hassan's professional trajectory took a drastic detour as he became enamored with the world of theater.

In 1989, Hassan joined forces with friends from his hillside district in Mulhouse to form a troupe called "Les Coriaces." Although the group disbanded a year later, Hassan's determination to make a name for himself in the acting world remained unwavering. He continued to hone his craft by teaching theater lessons at a local MJC in Mulhouse.

The screening of Malik Chibane's film Hexagone in 1993 proved to be a pivotal moment in Hassan's life. He was struck by the similarities between one of the characters and himself, which further solidified his resolve to become an actor. Despite the opposition from his family and the ridicule of his peers, who affectionately nicknamed him "Jean de Florette," Hassan made the bold decision to leave his hometown of Mulhouse and move to Paris to pursue his dreams.

Hassan's perseverance eventually paid off in 1995 when he landed a role in Paul Vecchiali's film Zone Franche. This marked the beginning of his successful career in cinema and television. From 2005 to 2010, Hassan played the recurring character of police lieutenant Micky in the TF1 television series Diane, female cop, alongside Laurent Gamelon and Isabel Otero.

In 2013, Hassan appeared in Les Garçons and Guillaume, à table! by Guillaume Gallienne. His most recent notable roles include playing the aide-de-camp of President François Hollande in Clint Eastwood's film Le 3:17 p.m. for Paris, which tells the story of Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone, and Anthony Sadler, the three American soldiers who thwarted the terrorist attack on Thalys train 9364 on August 21, 2015.
