Biography

Happy Ranajit, a distinguished graduate of the National School of Drama, has made a significant impact in the Delhi theatre scene as a renowned actor and director. His remarkable performances have garnered critical acclaim, including his portrayal of Aurangzeb in Aurangzeb and Krishna in Maharathi, for which he received widespread recognition.

In 2010, Ranajit was awarded the Best Actor honor at the prestigious Mahindra Theatre Awards for his outstanding performance in "Roop Aroop". Furthermore, he won the Best Actor award at the international GATS Theatre Festival in Beijing, China, for his exceptional portrayal of Richard III.

Ranajit's impressive repertoire of accolades also includes the Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by SNA for acting in 2012. He has had the privilege of working as an actor in the Kingdom of Dreams' production of "Zangoora", performing an impressive 1000 shows.

In addition to his extensive theatre experience, Ranajit has also performed at numerous international festivals, including India by the Nile in Egypt, Namaste Russia in Moscow, Rafipeer Theatre Festival in Pakistan, and GATS International Theatre Festival in Beijing, China.

Beyond his acting career, Ranajit is also an accomplished director, writer, and acting workshop conductor. His play "Straight Proposal" was selected for the Bharat Rang Mahotsav in 2015 and the Mahindra Theatre Award in the same year. He has also written and directed the play "Humari Adhuri Kahani", produced by Mahesh Bhatt.
