Person Biography:
Hans Fjellestad is a multifaceted individual, excelling as a filmmaker, musician, and artist. With a global presence, he has showcased his work in various settings, including theaters, museums, festivals, and clubs across the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Haiti, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
As a filmmaker, Hans has directed several notable documentaries, including "Sunset Strip," which premiered at SXSW 2012, featuring an impressive cast of celebrities like Mickey Rourke, Johnny Depp, and Sofia Coppola. His other notable works include "When The World Breaks" and "The Heart Is A Drum Machine."
Hans has also composed original music for theater, dance, film, and television, and has released music as a solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians. He has toured extensively, performing in over a dozen countries.
As an educator, Hans has taught and lectured at numerous academic institutions, including Columbia University, Amherst College, San Francisco Art Institute, McGill University, and the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. He has also appeared on various television and radio programs, such as ABC News 20/20, NPR "Day to Day," and BBC Radio 4 "Front Row."
