Hans Conried's life began in Baltimore, where he spent his formative years alongside stints in New York City. He pursued his passion for acting at Columbia University, where he honed his craft by taking on numerous prominent classical roles on stage. Following his tenure with Orson Welles' esteemed Mercury Theatre Company, Conried's distinctive voice was first heard as the iconic Prof. Kropotkin on the popular radio show "My Friend Irma". His versatility was showcased through various roles on the "Edgar Bergen - Charlie McCarthy Show". Conried was a member of the original cast of Cole Porter's 1953 Broadway phenomenon "Can-Can", remaining with the production for over a year. Renowned for his quick wit, Conried became a sought-after actor, panelist, and narrator, frequently appearing in television series and films throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
