Hailey Kilgore is an American actress who was born in Humble, Texas, and later adopted by her parents in Oregon. From an early age, she was drawn to singing and performing, and began to develop her talents. By the time she was nine years old, she was already singing the National Anthem at sporting events in the Portland area, including for the Trailblazers, Winterhawks, and Portland Beavers. Her early start in the performing arts was just the beginning of her journey.
As she grew older, Hailey continued to hone her skills, participating in various pageants and competitions. In 2012, she won the National American Miss Miss Oregon Pre-Teen Title, as well as the National American Miss National Spokesmodel competition. Two years later, she took the top prize in the Miss Oregon's Outstanding Teen competition.
Hailey's high school years were filled with a variety of performances, including plays and monologue competitions. She attended Clackamas High School for two years, during which time she appeared in numerous productions, including "Peter Pan" and "Fiddler on the Roof." She also took part in the August Wilson Monologue Competition, where she placed second in the Portland competition and went on to perform in the national competition in New York.
After high school, Hailey transferred to the Clackamas Web Academy, where she continued to pursue her passion for acting. She landed the role of Rebecca Gibbs in Portland Center Stage's production of "Our Town," and later performed in the ensemble of "Ain't Misbehavin'."
In the fall of 2016, Hailey enrolled at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, where she was soon cast as Ti Moune in the Broadway revival of "Once on this Island." The show opened on December 3rd, 2017, and Hailey's performance earned her widespread recognition. She received nominations for a Chita Rivera Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Drama League Award, and Tony Award, and went on to win the Theatre World Award, Broadway.com Audience Award, and Broadwayworld.com Fan Choice Award.
