H.A. Rey

Hans Augusto Reyersbach, later to be known as H. A. Rey, embarked upon a life of artistic expression on September 16, 1898, in a small corner of Germany, marking the beginning of a journey that would span nearly eight decades and traverse the vast expanse of the world. As a German-born American illustrator and author, Rey's creative endeavors would leave an indelible mark on the literary world, particularly through his partnership with his wife, Margret Rey, with whom he co-created the beloved and iconic character of Curious George.
