Gustaf Gründgens, a renowned German actor, director, and producer, embarked on a remarkable journey after completing his school education in 1916. He volunteered for the Western Front and later joined the Saarlouis front theater group, which he led two years later. Following the war, Gründgens trained at the Düsseldorf Theater School of Stage Arts from 1919 to 1920.
