Biography

Grigorij Richters, a remarkable individual, was born in Hamburg, Germany, and from a very young age, he demonstrated a profound interest in the world of film and theatre. He began his professional career as a child model at the tender age of two and continued to work in the industry until he was 14, appearing in over 200 magazines, TV advertisements, and fashion catalogues.

As he grew older, Richters' passion for filmmaking only intensified. By the age of six, he had already purchased his first second-hand video camera and was taking acting and piano classes. This marked the beginning of a creative journey that would see him produce numerous short films and write his first feature film script by the time he was 12.

Richters' early success in the industry led to him directing his first TV commercial at the age of 13, with a budget of 50,000 Euros. This was followed by the opportunity to work with legendary German actor Mario Adorf in his 40-minute long short film, Dean's Life, which he co-wrote with Georg Ludy.

As he entered his teenage years, Richters continued to make a name for himself in the industry, working with producers of major films such as Hostage (starring Bruce Willis) and Sony. His script also inspired films like Click (starring Adam Sandler) and the recent George Clooney and John Malkovich Nespresso commercial.

Richters is currently nearing the completion of his first feature film as a director, titled 51 Degrees. Throughout his career, he has developed a unique guerrilla style, often showing up on location early in the morning without a permit and filming what he needs to before leaving. This unorthodox approach has led to some memorable moments, including a scene where he made an actor jump into the fountain in front of Buckingham Palace, as well as another where he filmed on the abandoned 120-meter high building, King's Reach, on Stamford Street, just before being arrested by Anti-Terrorist Police.

In 2011, at the age of 24, Richters directed a scene at Piccadilly Circus in London, featuring over 1500 extras, making it the largest film shoot at Piccadilly Circus to date. Despite only having permission for 50 extras, Richters' innovative approach to filmmaking has earned him a reputation as a talented and daring director.
