Person Biography:
Born in the suburbs of Atlanta, Griffin began his journey in the world of performance at the tender age of seven, taking to the stage in local theater productions. By the time he turned 13, he was already working consistently in commercial projects, honing his craft and developing a passion for filmmaking. Throughout his middle and high school years, Griffin continued to showcase his talent on stage, starring in musicals, dramas, and improv, while also exploring his creative side by filming and editing music videos for local bands and rappers, and writing, directing, editing, and starring in short films.
Griffin's drama, "Sitting on the Fence" (2011),made its mark by being an official selection at the Macon Film Festival in 2011, and his short film, "Self Portrait" (2013),took home the prestigious "Superior" award at the Georgia Thespian Conference, earning an invitation to compete at the national level.
As a high school sophomore, Griffin earned top honors as the Georgia State Champion and went on to become a top 15 national finalist in Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation competition.
Balancing his professional acting career with his role as a full-time public school student, Griffin continued to land roles in independent films and made his television debut in 2012, guest starring in the hit NBC series "Revolution." He also held a guest star role in the CBS pilot "The Surgeon General" (2013),starring Jason Isaacs, although it ultimately did not make it to the CBS season roster.
After graduating cum laude from Chattahoochee High School in 2013, Griffin made the move to LA to fully commit to his acting and filmmaking pursuits.
Griffin is set to hit the big screen this year, starring in three feature films, including a lead role in the independent horror film "Case#13" (2014),a supporting role in the crime drama "Term Life" (2016) alongside Vince Vaughn and Hailee Steinfeld, and work in the Stephen King thriller "Cell" (2016),starring Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack.
When not busy with his acting and filmmaking endeavors, Griffin splits his time between LA and Atlanta, where he resides with his loving family, including his mom, dad, younger brother Charlie, and his incredibly talented dog Zoe.
