Gregor Collins is a multi-talented individual, boasting a diverse range of skills and accomplishments in the entertainment industry. He is an actor, author, scriptwriter, and producer, with notable roles in independent films such as "Night Before the Wedding" (2009) and "Goodbye Promise" (2012). Furthermore, his memoir, "The Accidental Caregiver", made its stage debut on January 26, 2015, at the Robert Moss Theater in New York City.
Collins' journey in the entertainment industry began in 1996, when he worked as a production assistant for Caspar Weinberger's World Business Review in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Production, he relocated to Los Angeles and produced reality television shows, including "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" (2000) and "Countdown to the 2003 Primetime Emmy Awards" (2003).
After four years of working in reality television, Collins decided to pursue a career in acting and writing. Since then, he has written, acted in, and/or produced various independent features, including the critically acclaimed improvised film "Goodbye Promise" (2012). The Los Angeles Times praised the film, stating that it is "a visually alert, enormously well-observed film that deftly captures Hollywood heartbreak," crediting Collins' "appealing and affecting" performance.
Fred Roos, a legendary producer, also praised "Goodbye Promise" (2012),saying that, "On a micro budget, filmmaker David Branin and actor Gregor Collins have created a perceptive and touching portrait of the lives of struggling actors working on the fringes of Hollywood."
In 2008, Collins met Maria Altmann, a renowned Holocaust refugee, and became her caregiver for the last three years of her life. He later published a book about his unique experience, "The Accidental Caregiver", which became a bestseller on Amazon in 2012.
