Greg William Stechman is a multifaceted creative force, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, including the works of Pier Pasolini, Wes Anderson, David Sedaris, and Stephen King. A native of Sacramento, California, Stechman currently resides in Northern California.
As the owner of Burning Grounds Motion Entertainment, Stechman collaborates with filmmakers Lacie Oakley and Jon Rogers to bring innovative projects to life. Stechman's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Organizational Communication from California State University, Sacramento, which he earned in 2003.
During his college years, Stechman honed his multimedia skills, working closely with New York Times Bestselling author Steve Alten to produce promotional films for his novels and develop feature films. This experience led to the production of the short film "trans-pose" in 2003 and music videos for Sacramento bands Shortie ("Something Else") and Bonzai Empire ("Freworks") in 2004.
Stechman's senior year at CSU Sacramento State saw the realization of his independent feature "Michael and Claire: A Portrait Of Love and Dreams". Following this, Stechman completed principal photography on the dramatic horror film "Threading Over Dark", which is currently in post,-production with a projected release date of late 2006.
In addition to his work on "Threading Over Dark", Stechman is adapting three novels by Bram Stoker Award Finalist Michael Laimo, including "The Demonologist", "Deep In The Darkness", and "Atmosphere". He is set to shoot his second feature film in April-May 2006 in Northern California and is currently working on a fictional novel.
